About Us
Urban Tractor Farm — Where Wine Meets Art
Some places have one story. Ours has two — and they're better together.
The Farm
In 2009, Gord and Paula Maretzki fell in love with a piece of Niagara countryside and made it their own. What started as a dream of wide-open land became something far richer: a working farm, a winery, and eventually, a creative destination unlike anything else in the region.
The Winery
Gord planted the first vines in 2018, and by 2020, Urban Tractor Farm Winery was producing wines that reflect the land they come from — crafted with care, shaped by the seasons, and best enjoyed slowly. Our winemaking philosophy is simple: let the varietal speak for itself, and let the vineyard do the work.
The Studio
What many visitors don't expect — and never forget — is the stained glass studio tucked inside our winery. Gord has been a glass artist for years, and as the winery took root, so did the idea of sharing that craft with others. Today, the workshop studio is a destination in its own right: a place where you can sit down, pick up a piece of glass, and make something beautiful — often with a glass of our wine nearby.
Our workshops have welcomed hundreds of guests through dragonflies, butterflies, Easter eggs, hearts, and fused glass night lights and more. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned crafter, Gord's patient, clear instruction makes the experience approachable and genuinely fun.
